La Société culturelle des Hauts-Plateaux is a
regional non-profit organization. The Society organizes an annual
program of activities in all the branches of arts and culture
imaginable. It coordinates tours of professional performances, with a
particular focus on Acadian and local artists. The Society’s annual
program is available on its website under the heading, Calendar of Activities.
The Society is an active contributor to local arts events such as
Kedgwick’s Festival of Song (le Sommet de la Chanson de Kedgwick), the
Artists’ Exhibition, etc.
The mission of the High Plateaus Cultural Society is to foster the
cultural enrichment and blossoming of the every francophone resident
within the area it serves. The Society encourages communication, and
the exchange of information, services, human resources and materials,
as well as the promotion of all artistic disciplines. It works in
close collaboration with local arts and cultural organizations. The
High Plateaus Cultural Society is a member of the Conseil Provincial
des sociétés culturelles (the Provincial Council of Cultural Societies)
and the Réseau atlantique de diffusion des Arts et de la scène (the
Atlantic Network for the Promotion of Performance Arts).
